Time Missions traces back to Zeral and Dorretta Brown, who first came to the Dominican Republic in 1947 and founded the ministry in 1968. Today we host short-term trips for churches across North America, support full-time missionaries on the ground, and run an internship pipeline for the next generation.
We're small on purpose. That means every team is hosted with care, every project is planned around the local church's lead, and the people who meet you at the airport are people we can name.

TIME Missions began in 1968 when a group of young people from the United States spent Christmas vacation serving in Pueblo Nuevo, Mexico. What began as the Teenage Institute of Missionary Evangelism grew to include people of all ages and became TIME Missions.
The story behind TIME began even earlier. In 1947, Zeral and Dorretta Brown went to the Dominican Republic as missionaries. They believed local churches were central to sharing the gospel and helping believers grow.
That idea shaped the work in Mexico and, beginning in 1992, in the Dominican Republic. Over the decades, thousands of people have served on TIME trips alongside local pastors and churches. Though Zeral and Dorretta have both passed away, the work they began continues through missionaries, national leaders, and visiting teams.
Today, TIME Missions leads short-term groups to serve local churches through evangelism, construction, and discipleship. Our desire is for each trip to strengthen the churches we serve and deepen each participant’s commitment to knowing God and advancing missions.
