Our TEAM

Dorretta Brown

TIME Founder and VP of Spiritual Leadership-DR
TIME founders Zeral and Dorretta Brown first came to the Dominican Republic in 1947, later serving in Cuba and Mexico where they founded TIME Ministries in 1968.  While Zeral went home to glory in 1996, Dorretta still serves actively as a prayer warrior, mentor, fund raiser, and visionary.  At 100 years young, she doesn’t get to visit the field as often as she would like, but still finds the time and energy to do so occasionally!  When she’s not on the field, Dorretta resides in Salem, Oregon, with her daughter Sharon, maintaining contact through Zoom, What’sApp and Messenger.  She has always been able to adapt to the times and keeps us mindful of being thankful with her favorite verse, Philippians 4:6-7:  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
