Who we are

A bridge between local churches and the field.

Time Missions traces back to Zeral and Dorretta Brown, who first came to the Dominican Republic in 1947 and founded the ministry in 1968. Today we host short-term trips for churches across North America, support full-time missionaries on the ground, and run an internship pipeline for the next generation.

You bring the willingness. We handle logistics, lodging, ground transportation, project planning, and the relationships that make a one-week trip actually count.

Time Missions was founded in 1968 by Zeral and Dorretta Brown, who believed short-term trips, done with care, could disciple goers and support local churches at the same time. Five decades later, we're still doing exactly that.

How does a Time Missions trip work?

You bring a church team of 8 to 20 people. We handle ground logistics, lodging, in-country transport, project planning, and on-field hosts. Most trips run Saturday to Saturday, with project work Monday through Friday and church on Sunday with the local body.

Who can go on a short-term trip?

We host church groups, family teams, college groups and individual joiners. Trips are open to anyone in good standing with their home church. There is no minimum experience requirement, just a willingness to serve and follow the lead of the local pastor on the ground.

What does the trip cost cover?

The base trip price covers all lodging, ground transportation, three meals a day, project materials, and on-field hosting. Airfare to the country is arranged and paid for separately by each team. We can recommend group rates and travel agents we trust.

Are you a registered non-profit?

Yes. Time Missions is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are ECFA accredited and our annual 990 is available on our about page. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How do internships work?

We run two tracks. Summer interns spend 8 to 12 weeks on a single field learning the ministry. Missionary interns commit to a 1 to 2 year residency working alongside our full-time staff. Applications open each fall.
