Through chapel construction, children’s ministry, sports, worship, evangelism, personal testimony, and practical service, your group will help strengthen the work of the local church while growing closer to Christ and one another.

Mission Work Rooted in Relationships
Cabrera offers teams a personal and highly relational mission experience.
Rather than moving through a crowded schedule of activities, your team will have time to know the pastor, worship with the congregation, meet families, serve children, work beside Dominican believers, and understand the community where you are serving.
TIME begins by listening to the vision of the local pastor. We then prepare opportunities for your group to support that vision through construction, evangelism, discipleship, sports, children’s ministry, testimonies, worship, and practical service.
Your team will not simply complete a project. You will enter a relationship with a local church and become part of a ministry story that continues after you return home.
A Different Pace. A Deeper Connection.
Cabrera is located along the northern coast of the Dominican Republic and is surrounded by smaller towns, rural communities, farms, churches, and beautiful natural scenery.
The pace is often slower than in a large city, creating room for conversations, shared meals, prayer, worship, and meaningful time with the people your team meets.
Participants are encouraged to be present, flexible, and ready to contribute. Your team may sing during a church service, share a testimony, lead a Bible lesson, play with children, work on a chapel, pray with a family, or simply sit and listen to someone’s story.
In Cabrera, some of the most important ministry happens between the scheduled activities.

TIME Missions does not enter a community with its own independent ministry plan. We work through trusted Dominican pastors and churches that already know their communities, care for their people, and carry a long-term vision for the gospel.
The pastor helps identify the ministry priorities. The local congregation maintains the relationships. TIME prepares the partnership, coordinates the details, and helps your group serve effectively.
Your team comes alongside work that God has already begun. TIME’s history in the Cabrera region reaches back to the mid-1990s through relationships with Pastor Samuel Martínez, Casa de Dios, and churches throughout the region. Chapels, pastoral development, church planting, and visiting mission teams have all contributed to this continuing partnership.

Transportation
TIME will meet your group at the designated airport and coordinate transportation to Cabrera and throughout your ministry week, traveling between lodging, partner churches, construction sites, ministry activities, community outreaches, and recreation.
Travel is part of the Cabrera experience. Along the way, your team will see the coastline, countryside, small communities, local churches, and everyday life of the northern Dominican Republic.
A Place to Rest and Reflect
TIME arranges safe and comfortable lodging for your group in or near Cabrera. Accommodations may vary according to group size and availability, but our team will prepare appropriate sleeping arrangements, meals, meeting space, and transportation for your week.
As TIME establishes its permanent presence in Cabrera, the development of a family home and ministry base for Tyler and Sarai Prescott will provide greater stability, hospitality, and support for local church partnerships and visiting teams.
Gather Around the Table
Your team will enjoy Dominican hospitality, local flavors, fresh ingredients, filling meals, purified water, and plenty of good coffee.
Some meals may be shared with pastors, church members, missionaries, translators, or other ministry partners, with time to hear stories, ask questions, build friendships, and celebrate what God is doing. Hospitality is not separate from the ministry. It is one of the ways relationships are formed.
From Translated Words to Genuine Relationships
You do not need to speak Spanish to form meaningful relationships in Cabrera. TIME translators, missionaries, interns, and Dominican volunteers will help your team communicate during church services, children’s ministry, sports, construction, evangelism, and everyday conversations.
You may arrive needing someone to translate your words. By the end of the week, you may discover how much can be communicated through service, laughter, prayer, and the love of Christ.

Build Beside the Church
A chapel can give a growing congregation a dependable place to worship, teach Scripture, disciple children, train leaders, and serve its community.
TIME works with local pastors to identify construction projects that support the continuing ministry of the church. Your team may help build or repair a chapel, paint a church, prepare concrete, construct benches, improve a ministry space, or complete another practical project.
No construction experience is required. Our team will provide leadership, instruction, tools, and a meaningful role for participants of different skill levels. You will not only work for the church. You will work beside the church.
Help the Church Reach the Next Generation
Children and young people are an important part of the ministry in Cabrera. Sports and children’s ministry help local churches meet families, encourage young people, and create opportunities to share the gospel.
TIME prepares these ministries with the local pastor so the church can continue caring for the children and families after your group leaves.

Every Team Member Has Something to Give
Cabrera gives participants opportunities to move beyond watching ministry and begin contributing personally. Your team may be invited to sing, pray, read Scripture, give a testimony, share a devotional, teach a Bible lesson, preach a short message, or describe what Christ has done in your life.
TIME will help prepare your team for these opportunities. Participants do not need to be professional speakers or experienced ministers. They need a willingness to seek God, prepare faithfully, and share honestly. These moments often help people discover that God can use their voice, their story, and their obedience.
Share Christ. Strengthen the Church.
Evangelism in Cabrera grows through the relationships and continuing ministry of the local church. Your group may participate in home visits, community gatherings, children’s programs, sports outreach, prayer, personal conversations, testimonies, worship services, or other opportunities prepared by the pastor.
The goal is not merely to create a large event. It is to help the local church connect with people it can continue to love, disciple, and serve. TIME encourages your team to present the gospel clearly, listen carefully, pray sincerely, and trust the Holy Spirit with the results.
Leave With Names, Faces, and Friends
The lasting impact of a Cabrera trip may not be measured only by how many walls were raised or activities were completed.
It may be seen in the pastor who was encouraged, the child who remembers your name, the translator who became your friend, the team member who shared a testimony for the first time, or the congregation that knows another church is praying for them.
TIME wants short-term service to contribute to long-term Kingdom relationships. Your church may choose to return, continue praying for a pastor, support a ministry need, encourage Tyler and Sarai, or develop a continuing relationship with a Cabrera congregation.
The trip lasts one week. The relationship does not have to end there.

These activities give your team time to rest, enjoy God’s creation, experience Dominican culture, and celebrate the week together.
God Has Been Connecting This Story
Cabrera is a new permanent TIME Missions field built upon a long history. TIME’s connections in the region began decades ago through chapel ministry, pastoral relationships, visiting churches, and the faithful work of Dominican believers.
After a season of testing the field with mission teams, prayer, leadership evaluation, and trustee affirmation, TIME began establishing a permanent ministry presence in Cabrera.
Tyler and Sarai Prescott and their family are central to that next step. Their home and ministry base will provide long-term presence, stronger pastoral relationships, hospitality for ministry partners, leadership development, and greater stability for future teams.
Cabrera is not a rushed expansion. It is the next step in a story God has been connecting for years.
