Here’s the thing: you have not really experienced God’s goodness until you’ve sat across the table, sipping the nectar of thought at your local coffee shop with another believer, just swapping stories of what Jesus is doing.

So, here’s the point: Paul’s trips were never about one guy on a camel. They were a body in motion. Same with TIME. Churches send. Teams go. TIME Centers receive. Local pastors guide. The Spirit ties it all together. Your group pours concrete; Paul stitched tents. Different tools, same pattern.

FUEL MISSIONS pt 1

Long before modern mission teams ever set foot on an airplane, Paul was blazing the trail as the original short-term missionary. On three great journeys recorded in the Book of Acts, he stepped out of Antioch with nothing but faith and a letter of recommendation, no pre-planned itinerary, just the Holy Spirit’s leading. In Cyprus and Pisidian Antioch, he preached in synagogues and market squares, planting churches that would echo his teaching long after he moved on. In Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea, his overnight stays turned into weeks of discipleship, as he trained local leaders to shepherd new believers. In Corinth and Ephesus, temporary visits stretched into months of devoted, face-to-face mentoring, equipping vibrant congregations to care for one another, enduring persecution, and shine as salt and light in their cities.

Paul: The Original Short-Term Missionary

Let the heavens keep declaring His glory. But let your church go and declare His gospel. Let’s move. Let’s build. Let’s go — together. Just like Paul did.

The Adventure of a Lifetime:

Take some time. Talk to God. Ask Him what He would have you do. He’s waiting.​I’ve been involved in missions since 1978. There were seasons when I wasn’t walking closely with the Lord. But Jesus saw the road ahead. He knew I’d be hungry and thirsty for Him, and He carved out a plan for me to join TIME Missions.​I’m not qualified to lead—except that Jesus gives me permission, through the renewing of my mind each day in Him. That’s what allows me to live out the greatest adventure of my life.

Spring has Sprung

The Bible tells us that we know and see in part, meaning we don't fully grasp all the spiritual activity around us. But Jesus asked us to be ready, in season and out of season, to share his good news with the world. Pray for Time Missions as we strive to stay focused on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through the work of the body of Christ from America, Canada, and other countries that want to join us in this great mission.

It is the season of Short-Term Missions Here at TIME Ministries | About we love our short-term missions friends around the globe "Lord, we lift up all the short-term missions organizations around the world. We pray for safe travels and protection for each team going and organization hosting. May their efforts be fruitful and productive for Your kingdom. We also ask that lasting partnerships and friendships be formed, grounded in Your love, and that these connections continue to grow through eternity. Amen."

Alright, I’ll admit it—this is a biased blog.

The Bottom Line: You Are on Assignment; the Great Commandment and the Great Commission are not optional for believers. If we love God, we will love others—and that love compels us to share the gospel. If we do not take up our mission, we are neglecting the very purpose of the church.

BE ONE CHURCH.

We are called to be one church—a united, diverse, and grace-filled body that reflects the character of Christ. Let‘s live lives worthy of the calling we have received, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit, and using the grace freely given to us to serve one another. In doing so, we will Be One church, the church that God has called us to be, a light in a divided world.

The Shy One?

Ask yourself: Do you really see the work of the Holy Spirit in your life? Is there that constant friction—the necessary wear and tear—that’s molding you into someone more like Jesus? If you’re just cruising on the surface, you might be missing the transformative power that comes from truly understanding and engaging with the Spirit.

We are the ODDS!

So, be odd. Be the ones who don’t fit. Be the ones who live, love, and lead differently. Because to be odd in the eyes of the world is to be right-side-up in the Kingdom of Jesus. And that’s not losing. That’s winning.

SAYING YES.

Moses wasn’t exactly “missionary material” when God called him. By today’s standards, he wouldn’t have made the cut. He didn’t go to seminary. He wasn’t a dynamic speaker. He wasn’t even excited about the idea of leading.

On July 13, 2024 we will bury Dorretta’s body next to her husband, and the following day we will celebrate her life at First Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon. We will mourn the loss of a significant presence and the light of her love and counsel. And we will laugh and dance as we remember and celebrate her legacy.

As followers of Jesus there are some things we are commanded to do. In my case I am commanded to communicate the options that are understood in The Great Commission to give and or go.

Unprecedented God

Under this new Kingdom constitution. A close look at Matthew 5 tells that: Happy are the poor in spirit, happy are those who mourn, happy are the meek, happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, happy are the merciful, happy are the pure in heart, happy are the peacemakers, happy are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, happy are those who suffer reproach and persecution. When we join the Kingdom of the heavens and serve this unprecedented King. We can expect the unexpected, rejoice in the unparalleled goodness of God, take heart in the unmatched mercies of God and receive the unrivaled love of God. ‍

Waking Up 2021

The Cambridge dictionary defines a light as a piece of equipment that produces light, such as a lamp or a bulb. This is where we ask deep in our souls as to what is the light that is producing the energy and passion within us. For TIME Ministries, the passion to share the gospel to those in need and to share Christ with them is the “light-spark” that shines out from us.
