Through children’s ministry, English outreach, sports, evangelism, worship, discipleship, practical projects, and community service, your team will help strengthen the work of the local church while growing in its knowledge of God.

City Ministry Rooted in the Local Church
Monterrey offers teams a relational mission experience within one of Mexico’s largest and most active cities.
Every church and community is different. TIME begins by listening to the local pastor and understanding the ministry vision God has placed before the congregation. We then help prepare opportunities that connect your team’s gifts with the ongoing work of the church.
Your week may include English outreach, children’s ministry, sports, evangelism, worship, testimonies, church repairs, leadership encouragement, community events, or practical service.
Your team will not arrive with an independent ministry plan. You will come alongside Mexican believers who already know their communities, love their neighbors, and are faithfully serving Christ.
A City of Opportunity
Monterrey brings together large-city ministry, neighborhood relationships, local churches, schools, parks, families, and beautiful mountain surroundings.
The city provides opportunities to serve people from many different backgrounds. One day your team may work with students at an English camp. Another day may include children’s ministry, a church service, sports outreach, a practical work project, or time encouraging a pastor and congregation.
Participants are encouraged to remain flexible, listen carefully, and be ready to use the gifts God has given them. In Monterrey, ministry can happen in a church, classroom, neighborhood, park, kitchen, sports field, or conversation over a meal.
The Local Church Leads the Way
TIME Missions works through trusted Mexican pastors, churches, and ministry partners.
The local pastor understands the congregation and community. The church maintains the relationships and continues the ministry after the visiting team returns home. TIME coordinates the partnership and helps your team serve in ways that support the church’s continuing vision.
This approach keeps the local church at the center of the mission experience. Your team is not coming to take over the ministry. You are coming to listen, encourage, contribute, and serve beside the people God has already placed there.

Transportation Throughout Your Week
TIME will meet your group at the designated airport and provide transportation throughout your stay, moving between the TIME Center, partner churches, schools, ministry locations, work projects, community activities, and recreation.
Monterrey is a large city, and transportation is an important part of keeping your week organized and productive. Your team can focus on the people and ministry while TIME takes care of getting everyone where they need to be.
A Place to Rest and Grow Together
Your team will stay at the TIME Center in safe and comfortable group accommodations: air-conditioned sleeping areas, hot water, showers, restrooms, meeting space, and room for your team to gather throughout the week.
The TIME Center becomes your team’s home while serving in Monterrey. It is where your group can share meals, pray, worship, prepare for ministry, process the day, laugh together, and listen for what God is teaching you.
Hospitality That Feels Like Home
Your team will enjoy filling meals that may include Mexican favorites, familiar options, fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy proteins, purified water, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy local food.
Around the table, your group can slow down, hear stories, talk with missionaries and local ministry partners, build friendships, and celebrate what God is doing. Some of the most meaningful conversations of the week may happen while sharing a meal.
Helping People Connect Across Languages
You do not need to speak Spanish to build meaningful relationships in Monterrey. TIME missionaries, staff members, interns, local volunteers, and translators will help your group communicate during church services, children’s ministry, English outreach, construction projects, sports, evangelism, and everyday conversations.
Language differences do not have to prevent relationships. Service, prayer, laughter, patience, and the love of Christ communicate more than we sometimes realize.

Practical Service That Strengthens Ministry
Construction in Monterrey often focuses on helping local churches and ministry partners care for, repair, and improve the facilities they already use.
No previous construction experience is required. TIME and the local ministry leaders will provide direction and help participants find meaningful ways to contribute. The project is important, but the goal is larger than completing a task. Practical service encourages the congregation and helps create spaces where ministry can continue.

A teacher, coach, musician, cook, contractor, student, medical professional, pastor, parent, or willing volunteer can all contribute. The most important qualification is a heart prepared to listen, learn, and serve.

English Outreach and Education
English ministry provides a valuable way for teams to connect with students, families, schools, and local churches. Your team may help with an English camp, classroom activities, conversation practice, games, music, Bible lessons, or relationship-building activities.
Participants do not need to be professional teachers. TIME will help organize the program and prepare your group. English creates a natural point of connection, but the deeper purpose is relationship: helping students practice a useful skill while creating opportunities for the local church to develop continuing relationships with them and their families.
Help the Church Reach Children and Youth
Children and young people are an important part of TIME’s ministry partnerships in Mexico. These ministries help churches meet families, encourage young people, share the gospel, and build relationships that can continue throughout the year.
TIME prepares each opportunity with local leaders so that the ministry serves the church’s larger purpose rather than becoming an isolated event.

Sports Open Doors for Relationships
Sports can bring together children, teenagers, families, local believers, and visiting team members. Your team may use soccer, basketball, games, fitness, or other activities to create a welcoming environment where relationships can begin.
Participants can coach, organize activities, share testimonies, encourage young people, pray with families, or simply join the game. The sport attracts people, but the relationship creates the opportunity for ministry. TIME works with the local church so that the people reached through sports can remain connected to a congregation after your team leaves.
Share Christ. Encourage the Church.
Evangelism in Monterrey grows through the relationships and continuing presence of the local church. Your team may participate in church services, community events, home visits, park outreach, children’s programs, English ministry, sports, prayer, personal conversations, or other opportunities prepared by local leaders.
You do not need to be a professional speaker. You need to know what Christ has done for you and be willing to share it with humility, clarity, and love.
Encourage Pastors and Ministry Leaders
Many pastors and ministry leaders carry significant responsibilities for their churches, families, work, and communities. A visiting team can provide practical help, prayer, fellowship, encouragement, and renewed energy for the ministry.
Your team may help complete a project, support an outreach, provide ministry resources, assist with children or youth, or simply spend time listening to a pastor’s story. Knowing that another church is praying, serving, and standing beside them can remind local leaders that they are part of the larger Body of Christ.
More Than a One-Week Project
TIME wants short-term missions to contribute to long-term Kingdom relationships.
The impact of your trip may be seen in a student who continues attending church, a pastor who feels encouraged, a child who remembers a Bible lesson, a ministry space that can be used more effectively, or a participant who returns home ready to serve.
Your church may choose to return to Monterrey, continue praying for a pastor, support a local ministry, encourage TIME’s Mexico team, or develop an ongoing relationship with a congregation.
The trip lasts a week. The relationship can continue much longer.

Serving Christ is important work, but it is also filled with joy. Your week will include opportunities to experience the culture, food, beauty, and energy of Monterrey.
Activities may include visiting local markets, enjoying authentic Mexican food, seeing the mountains, exploring part of the city, participating in recreation, playing games, or sharing fellowship with Mexican friends. These experiences allow your team to rest, laugh, learn about the culture, and celebrate what God has done during the week.
How Your Team Supports Mexican Churches
Mexican pastors and congregations know their communities and carry the responsibility for long-term ministry. TIME’s role is to listen to their vision and connect them with people, encouragement, skills, and resources that can help move that vision forward.
Your team may provide additional hands for a major outreach, help with a facility project, encourage a pastor, serve students, lead activities for children, support a sports program, or help the church connect with new families.
The local church remains at the center. The pastor provides continuing leadership. The congregation maintains the relationships. TIME prepares the partnership. Your team comes to serve beside them.
A Ministry With Deep Roots in Mexico
TIME Missions began in Mexico in 1968 when young people gathered in Pueblo Nuevo, outside Monterrey, as the Teenage Institute of Missionary Evangelism.
Over the decades, the ministry has developed from church construction and neighborhood outreach into a wider range of church partnerships, English ministry, children’s programs, sports, discipleship, practical service, and relationship-building.
The methods have changed as ministry needs and opportunities have changed, but the purpose remains: helping more people know God and advancing missions through the local church.
TIME believes God is continuing to open opportunities in Monterrey for teams that are willing to go, serve, listen, learn, and build relationships.
