Open enrollment in the Kingdom of God is live. Let’s talk about it over coffee.
I recently shared a cup of joe with Andy Reed, pastor of Sundry Church, and he inspired me to write this blog for Fuel Missions.
Fuel Missions: Open Enrollment in the Kingdom
Pastor Andy Reed from Sundry Church took a vision trip down to Monterrey, Mexico with TIME. He prayed before he went: “Lord, show me a few things clearly.” Well, God didn’t just meet him halfway—He blew the doors open. Andy came back saying, “The team is organized. The center is sharp. The ministries are real. The Gospel is flowing through grassroots churches. And you know what? We even had fun doing it.”
His words hit me because they sounded a lot like what I’ve been reading lately. I’ve been working my way through Dallas Willard’s book The Divine Conspiracy, where he points out how Psalms 145–150 give us one of the clearest descriptions of the Kingdom of God. And sure enough, when you sit with those Psalms, they are just loud with praise. It’s like the book ends in one big jam session where the whole creation shows up.
• Psalm 145: “One generation shall commend your works to another.” That’s missions right there passing the baton, telling the story, showing the next person how good God is.
• Psalm 146: “The Lord sets prisoners free… the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down.” That’s what happens when churches go—Jesus shows up and chains get unlocked.
• Psalm 147: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” That’s Monterrey. That’s Mexico. That’s the everyday work of Fueling Missions.
• Psalm 148: even kings and nations are called to praise. Nobody’s left out.
• Psalm 149: God’s people are clothed with victory.
• Psalm 150: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” Grab your guitar, your drumsticks, your voice, your very breathtaking all belongs in the Kingdom choir.
Here’s the thing: you have not really experienced God’s goodness until you’ve sat across the table, sipping the nectar of thought at your local coffee shop with another believer, just swapping stories of what Jesus is doing.
So, imagine this—you and I at Mars Café, mugs on the table, Psalms 145–150 echoing in the background of our conversation.
If the Kingdom of God is open enrollment, if Jesus already signed the invitation, why aren’t we out here handing out property deeds? Why aren’t we telling our neighbors, “There’s a spot for you right here in God’s Kingdom. Don’t wait. Enter now.”
And here’s one more: Psalm 150 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” You inhale God’s inspiring Word—His Spirit, His truth. But what do you need to exhale to make room for that next breath of rare air? Fear? Pride? Distraction? Maybe just the busy noise of life?
I’m just telling you straight: TIME needs more churches like Sundry. Mexico is desperate for practical love. The Gospel isn’t theory down there—it’s boots on the ground, hammers in hand, prayers in the streets, laughter around tables.
The ROI? Eternal.
The bonus? Only God knows, but you can bet it’s better than anything Wall Street hands out.
So, let’s not sit on this. Let’s SEND – SERVE – SUSTAIN.
Let’s Fuel Missions. Let’s hand out Kingdom deeds like their free coffee refills.
Because they are.
Pastor Andy’s Note After His Vision Trip
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We are so thankful for your warm and generous hospitality this last week. We felt instantly welcomed, loved, and empowered.
I was praying to see a few specific things in place and you all exceeded my expectations.
1. Organized: the team, the center, and the ministries were run extremely well.
2. Team Dynamic: I saw a team that was warm, connected, supportive, unified and inclusive of others.
3. Gospel Ministry: I saw plentiful examples of local grassroots connections and ministry with local churches and pastors that are building the Kingdom of God long-term.
4. Fun: we had a blast with you guys.
I believe the future of missions looks like the book of Acts: Building networks of relationships where we can mutually share and exchange knowledge, resources, ministry, prayer, service, giftings, and leadership. I see that potential between Sundry and TIME Monterrey.
Missions Team Trips: We would love to bring a family/youth team down Summer 2026—thinking Tour 5—I will get on the site and register soon. Additionally, I would like to see if there is the possibility of a separate construction trip that could take place sometime not during summer.
Interns/Missionaries: Praying that we can send interns/missionaries down to work with the team and you can send some Mexican interns/missionaries up to work with us, as well.
Prayer: Let’s pray for each other regularly.
Giving: We will look for ways to partner financially.
Fellowship: I would love to connect regularly over video or however we can to share ideas, celebrate, pray, and encourage one another mutually.
We love you all, excited for things to come.
